Just some random thoughts about getting kids to pose for a Christmas card.
- The more kids in the picture, the harder it is to take a good picture.
- One child will always make a face.
- One child will do “rabbit ears” behind another child’s head.
- One child will do multiple peace signs.
- One child will go on and on about how they don’t like their picture taken until you ask them to leave, then they suddenly don’t mind so much.
- One child will pout.
- One child will feel compelled to irritate the child in front of them.
- One irritated child will feel compelled to turn their back to the camera to address the afore mentioned child.
- One child will mother the rest of them by giving out instructions simultaneously with the photographer, many times contradicting the photographer’s instructions causing mass confusion.
- Child photographers tend to drink… a lot.
- Child photographers often contemplate committing suicide or even murder during a photo shoot with squirming children.
- One child will consistently stick a finger, a hand, or an object in their mouth while you try to take the picture.
- One child will comment on how grumpy the photographer is.
At least the photos are taken, the card is well underway, and everyone survived.
