Our Board just completed a Board Retreat this past weekend and I have to admit that while they are tiring, the team building, informations sharing, and relationship building, they are well worth the time and effort. It is a time everyone can lose the “business” persona and speak their minds, talk of their dreams, get brutally honest with their concerns for the future of the organization, how to meet challenges, and what opportunities everyone needs to be ready to take advantage of when they present themselves.
The only regret… that not everyone took advantage of the retreat. I fear they missed out on a great opportunity.
