Thursday 13 for December 6

Thirteen Random Thoughts

  1. The office move is almost completed.  Whew!
  2. My sinus infection has returned.  Sigh.
  3. I actually had a fever last night which led to a wild dream about Hillary and Obama getting together and producing a child who looked amazingly like a Dukakis.
  4. I have a candle that smells like cookies baking.  Sweet!
  5. An old man flipped me the bird on the way to the office.  Hey, if your Prius won’t go faster than 15 mph don’t get ticked if we pass you.
  6. Saw a bumper sticker on the aforesaid Prius that said, “What would Jesus drive?”  I’m thinking a donkey… which produces methane gas… and your point is?
  7. Went with a bunch of Foster Grandparents to Lubbock last weekend to watch a Gaither Homecoming/Christmas show.  It was great fun and the music was good too.  I still can’t get over one of the grannies saying that she had left a cervical pillow behind at the motel… cervical pillow?  I don’t even want to know…
  8. Tis the season for chocolate.  I can’t believe how much stuff is now covered in chocolate.  Why can’t we just cover it in meat?  I know I would enjoy it better.
  9. Actually saw fruitcake in the store.  Now there is the gift that says, “No, you have a @_(#%&*&_@$%(*_@!#&+)$ Merry Christmas!”
  10. Christmas music is back!  I love the Celtic instrumental stuff and yes, the NGDB has a most excellent CD too!
  11. Every time I hear “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” I think of Weedhopper (one of the Ho’s) who brought a magical moment to the Christmas Sing! program at the State School during a hand bell performance.  Classic…
  12. Oh, does anyone ever pay attention to the words of “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day?”  They are quite gruesome and bloody.  Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
  13. I need to put up my Christmas stuff in my office.  Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a wonderful TT!
